We are thrilled to welcome Hannah George to the Vyne to teach these Contemporary workshops to Juniors and Seniors.
After graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire with a first class honours degree in Contemporary Dance, Hannah has been freelancing as a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and rehearsal director.
Hannah has performed works by choreographers such as, Fubunation, Hubert Essakow, Etta Murfitt, Kerry Biggin, and Christopher Hampson at various venues including Sadlers Wells. Last year she worked with multidisciplinary artists Ruth Gibson and Bruno Martelli on a Dance/Virtual Reality piece titled DAZZLE, performed at the De Doelen Concert Hall in Rotterdam.
Hannah teaches at various schools including the Centre for Advanced Training and youth programmes at Trinity Laban and continually works with the National Youth Ballet as a Beyond Ballet© choreographer for the 2023 season. This summer, she co-choreographed a version of Romeo and Juliet for their inclusive dance programme ‘All In!’. Inclusive dance is a passion of Hannah’s and she is continually developing her practice in this way.
Most recently, Hannah assisted choreographer Otis Cameron-Carr with his new work at the Royal Opera House as part of the Autumn Draft Works. Hannah is a member of the music and dance collective ‘Sound of Movement’ and enjoys exploring relationships with music, and how she can design movement with technical form, flow, expression, and strong communication between dancers.
The Vyne has a long-standing commitment to giving youngsters the tools to express themselves through training in contemporary dance and support in developing their own choreography. Giving a child the means to communicate through creative movement can rebuild confidence and self worth. So many lives have been turned around through the validation of dance. If you wish to discuss how The Vyne Academy can provide support for your child’s creative potential please contact info@vynedance.co.uk
