The Dance Academy offers daytime and evening classes for adults and children in Berkhamsted to students from Hertfordshire Buckinghamshire and beyond. We specialise in technical dance and theatre training for students of all ages and abilities from beginners to advanced with free work as well as exam syllabus training from The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD)
Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Barre, Contemporary, Pilates and Athletic Performance are all available at Vyne.
Our Ballet Vyne Dance Company performs seasonal productions with a cast of exceptional dance students attending colleges such as The Royal Ballet, Tring Park, Elmhurst Ballet School, Hammond, Rambert and our own Developing Dancer Course. These Galas are open to the public in September, December and March.
The vocational department supports young stars of the future with intensive training under the Developing Dancer Programme. With international stars, Sarah Wildor and Matz Skoog as guest mentors the course provides private coaching and audition preparation for vocational colleges
The Developing Dancer Programme (DDP) provides talented students with an intensive timetable of private and group classes designed to enhance potential by focusing on the essential elements necessary to guide the future professional performer.
This pre-vocational course offers an alternative to full-time vocational training by allowing uninterrupted academic schooling throughout GCSE years in preparation for entry to specialist performance colleges at 6th Form. Entry is by invitation/audition only.
